Jewel accepts position within the Ohio
Department of Insurance
It is with a combination of sadness and excitement
that I announce that I have accepted an opportunity
to join the Strickland administration at the Ohio
Department of Insurance and will be leaving Jewel &
Bahnsen, LLC. I have been asked to serve as the
Deputy Director in charge of the Life and Health and
Property and Casualty divisions within the
Department. I am looking forward to the many
challenges and opportunities of my new role, but
will greatly miss working on a daily basis with
Debbie Bahnsen. Debbie will continue to serve the
clients of Jewel & Bahnsen, LLC at the same
telephone number and office address.
Deborah Bahnsen is participating in the
Health Policy Institute of Ohio’s (HPIO) efforts to
assess and improve the process of health information
exchange in Ohio. She is a member of the
Health Information Security and Privacy
Collaboration (HISPC) Legal Working Group.
HISPC is a national project to enhance the effective
adoption of health information technology and
exchange of health information. More
