Anne Jewel has been a principal in the
consulting firm of Jewel & Bahnsen, LLC since
January of 2001. She specializes in health
care insurance issues with a focus on third-party
payer issues, general federal and state regulatory
compliance, insurance company licensing, policy
drafting, legislation, and Medicare and Medicaid
issues. She previously worked with the
insurance regulatory firm of Rector & Associates,
Inc., from 1996 until 2000, specializing in general
insurance regulatory consulting with particular
emphasis on corporate business transactions,
financial solvency matters, agent licensing
arrangements and health care issues. Anne was
the Assistant Director in charge of the Life and
Health and Managed Care Divisions of the Ohio
Department of Insurance from 1988 to 1991. She
has also worked as an attorney in private practice
at the law firm of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan and
Aronoff and as an attorney in public practice at the
Office of the Attorney General of Ohio. She is
a member of the Marble Cliff Village Council and
received her JD from George Washington University
and her BA from The University of California at
